Ningbo Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, established in March 1989, is a local non-profit-making social legal entity formed by the free participation of the foreign investment enterprises registered in Ningbo. It is under the administration and supervision of Ningbo Bureau of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation and Ningbo Civil Affairs Bureau.
Tenet of the Association: to try its best to serve its members, and safeguard their legal rights and interests in accordance with the Constitution, laws and regulations of PRC; to report their suggestions and requirements to government departments so as to improve the investment environment of Ningbo; to increase mutual contact, mutual understanding and corporation between member enterprises and relevant institutions of the local government, as well as among the member enterprises so that they can better exchange information and experience and hence play an active role in pushing forward China’s economy construction drive and international economic corporation.
Task of the Association: to publicize China and local laws and regulations on opening-up and reform and the utilization of foreign capital; to host activities for member enterprises for exchanging experience in enterprise management and cooperation between Chinese and foreign parties; to commend excellent members; to address the complaint and demand of member enterprise so as to secure their legal rights and interests; to organize various training and business inspection; to organize the member enterprises to participate in international and domestic fairs; and to perform other tasks authorized by relative government department and member enterprise. There are 969 member enterprises in the association. The secretariat is the standing body of the association.
