| Regulations on Improving the Chairperson’s Meeting Mechanism of CAEFI |

The Chairperson’s Meeting is an important mechanism that enables collective decision-making by CAEFI leadership on priority matters. Since 2004, CAEFI has convened four Chairperson’s Meeting, at which fellow vice chairmen put forward many constructive ideas and suggestions on CAEFI’s important missions, thus playing a vitally important role in taking forward the work of the association.
In order to fully leverage this mechanism, being passed in the 3rd Session and 4th Council Meeting, the following regulations are made based on a membership-wide poll.
1. Institutionalize the CWM mechanism by organizing regular meetings or emergency meetings if so required to solicit the timely counsel and guidance of vice chairmen on the work of the association.
2. To make sure the topic of each CWM is fairly understood and contemplated well before it is convened, CAEFI will inform in advance each vice chairman in writing of the topic.
3. Considering some vice chairpersons are often held back from attending the CWM by their busy schedules, hence not being able to fully represent his/her organization and widely engage in the leadership role. Upon membership request, if a vice chairman cannot make time out of his/her schedule for three consecutive CWMs, it is advised that he/she be released of vice-chairmanship and CAEFI will recommend candidates for the position.
4. CAEFI will circulate, shortly after the meeting, meeting Minutes in writing to vice chairmen who were unable to attend the meeting due to engagement at work or otherwise.
CAEFI will continue to build on the CWM, strengthen the leadership and guidance of vice chairmen on its work, and fully tap into the leadership role of each vice chairman in the association so as to smoothly advance the work of the association.
