On the afternoon of August.29, the Office of National Working Group on IPR Protection held the 9th session of Mechanism of Regular Communication and Coordination with Foreign Investment Enterprises in Beijing in order to hear opinions from foreign investment enterprises about the Provisions on Timely Turning in Criminal Suspect during the Administrative Law-Enforcing (on trial basis), which was drafted jointly by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the National Office of Rectification and Standardization of Market Economic Order, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Supervision.
In the meeting, the functionary of the Supreme People's Procuratorate presented background and process of the drafting and contents summary of the Provisions. Representatives from foreign investment enterprises brought forward 10 proposals of amendment to the Provisions. The participants obtained a consensus that the Chinese prosecuting departments had promoted the work of combination mechanism between administrative law-enforcement and criminal law-enforcement. The publishing of the Provisions plays a very important role in promoting the IPR protection. At the same time, the functionary of the Supreme People's Procuratorate said that they would discuss seriously and adopt the opinions raised by representatives of foreign investment enterprises and would correct the draft as quickly as possible for its release publishment.
